Steel Optimizer (steeloptimizer.com) is a browser-based steel cutting and nesting optimizer operated by Mezher Nada in Saudi Arabia. This page explains what personal data we collect, why, where it is kept, for how long, and your rights under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL). Contact: support@steeloptimizer.com.
Material lists, Excel and CSV files, PDFs and photos you open in Steel Optimizer are read and processed inside your browser. They are not uploaded to our servers. The only exception is a file you choose to email to us for support.
| Data | Why | Where it is kept |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address, when you join the launch list or download a report | To tell you about the launch and contact you about Steel Optimizer | Formspree (form service), which keeps the submission and emails it to us |
| Account: email and password, when you create an account | To activate your account and sign you in | Supabase Auth. The password is stored hashed and is never visible to us. |
| Subscription: status, renewal or end date, subscription ID and a link to manage it | To unlock the paid features you bought | Supabase. The payment itself is handled by Lemon Squeezy (section 3). |
| Anonymous usage counts when you run an optimization: number of parts, sheets and thicknesses, language, screen size, the referring website and app version | To find and fix problems | Formspree, which emails them to us. No file names, file contents or emails are sent. |
| Website statistics: pages visited, referring site, country, device and browser type | To understand traffic | Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and does not identify you |
| Your messages to support@steeloptimizer.com and any files you attach | To answer you and improve the file reader | Our email inbox |
We process this data with your consent (you choose to give your email or create an account) or because it is needed to provide the service you asked for.
Subscriptions are sold by Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record. Your card or wallet details are entered on Lemon Squeezy's checkout page and never reach our site. Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy applies to the data it collects.
Your browser's local storage keeps your language, your settings, your sign-in session and whether you already gave an email, so you are not asked again. It stays on your device and you can clear it in your browser settings. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
We use Supabase (database and accounts), Lemon Squeezy (payments), Formspree (the email forms and usage notes), Vercel (hosting and statistics), and Google Fonts, cdnjs (Cloudflare) and jsDelivr (fonts and the PDF and photo readers; the photo reader also downloads its English language file from tessdata.projectnaptha.com). Like any website, these providers receive your IP address and browser details when your browser loads content from them. Their servers may be outside Saudi Arabia. We share only the minimum data needed, and we do not sell personal data or use it for advertising.
When a period ends, the data is deleted.
Under the PDPL you have the right to:
Email support@steeloptimizer.com from the address concerned and we will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Saudi Data & AI Authority (SDAIA).
All connections use HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed by Supabase. Database rules let each signed-in user read only their own subscription. Card details never touch our site.
Steel Optimizer is a professional tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
We will post any change on this page and update the date at the top.
